What a good 4th! Our first one at our new house. I am up this morning bright and early while the rest of the household is sound asleep. I think a mixture of too many beers and too much food gave me a headache and a tummy ache. We had a lot of fun with the Kate & Josh family and the Maggie & Doug family. Doug was nice enough to whip out the guitar and play some tunes for us. The kids all thought it was cool too and whipped out the mini guitar. Davis was very serious about playing as he was accompanying Doug and he had an audience. 
Kate made her delicious Root Beer Float Cake. She even put sparklers in it.
After all the food, we had to wait for it to get dark so we could let some of the fireworks off. So this is what my dear friends Maggie and Kate do to occupy their time...

We had a great time and I am so grateful for good friends! Can't wait for the next BBQ! Here are just some other pictures from our night! 
I am not sure what Kate is laughing at but it appears to me she did something bad and is laughing an evil laugh. And of course a kiss from her son in law (arranged marriage coming up).

It was a great night, very much. Thanks for having us over! And maybe next time, you can leave your camera put away. Or else aim it at someone else. Argh. I am NOT photogenic. You should know that by now.
