Fools Gold

We just got done watching Fools Gold. I know it has been out of the theatres for some time now, but with 3 to 4 kids, it makes it hard to see adult movies. Although this one was pretty OK for the kiddos to see. Only one part did I fast forward through and it was not even that bad. A little fowl language and some sexual innuendo but hopefully that flowed right over their heads. I am a big fan of Kate Hudson and of course who doesn't like to look at Matthew McConaughey. Big bonus was that it was filmed in a tropical location that only made my heart yearn for clear blue waters and white sandy beaches. And of course the treasure hunt. So fun! Some of you may know, and others may not but there is a site called www.atlasquest.com , it is a lot like geocaching, but you don't need the expensive equipment. Take a look at the site, the kids have loved it. You basically go on a treasure hunt to find a hidden box that contains a stamp and book. You don't get to take the treasure but you stamp their book with your special stamp, and use their stamp for you special treasure hunt book. The thrill is mainly in finding the treasure, not keeping it. The kids have never complained that they could not keep it, and they have fun re-hiding it. They have them all over the United States. So give it a go, you might find it exhilarating to be a "treasure hunter"!
