Blaine

Today was another beautiful day! Dane had his last day of preschool and then after lunch we met friends at the Lynden City park so the boys could play in the creek while we did some much needed girl chatting. Then later after the kids got out of school and we had dinner and homework was done, it was still very warm out. Which has made our house extremely warm. I decided we would go on a little adventure out to Blaine Marine Park. We found a little beach and the kids played while I took pictures and relaxed! It was a wonderful day. I hope every day is like this, this summer. My plan is for a very laid back summer, no sports or classes. Just going to explore Whatcom County and maybe some other cool places within driving distance.

This is how I see my summer..

Dane was thrilled that he got to see the train drive by. Even more excited that the conductor waved at him.

We even ran into my aunt.

Off to Marine Park...

Check out the sun flare on this next one...oh yeah...

I dont know actual road names but if you go into downtown Blaine, and find the Subway, it will be near a freeway entrance I believe. Go past the subway across the railroad tracks. You will find it as soon as you drive down the road. Most of the beach your not allowed on because they are protected for the birds, but if you walk the path all the way to the end, if the tide is out you can find a little beach at the end. I didnt see any signs there that said you couldnt go and it looked like people had made a path down there. Great place, very pretty.
